Madame d’Aulnoy (1650–1705) was a French writer best known for her fairy tales. Among her stories are “The Story of Pretty Goldilocks,” “Princess Mayblossom,” “The White Doe,” and “The Little Good Mouse.” Many of her stories have been anthologized, most notably by Andrew Lang in his fairy book volumes.
